1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Bassees mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including casual browsers and registered account holders.

2. Description of Service

Bassees is a gamified Quran learning application that provides interactive lessons for Quran memorization, recitation, and understanding. The Service includes features such as structured learning paths, spaced repetition exercises, audio recitations, progress tracking, and achievements. Bassees is developed and operated as an individual developer project.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

You warrant that you are at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes or to evade account restrictions
• Engage in any form of harassment, bullying, or discrimination
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Service without permission
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service

5. Quran Content and Religious Respect

The Quran text, translations, and audio recitations provided through the Service are sourced from publicly available resources and APIs, including Quran.com and EveryAyah.com. Bassees strives to ensure the accuracy of all Quranic content. If you notice any errors in the Quran text or translations, please report them to us immediately at support@bassees.app.

The Quran content is sacred and must be treated with the utmost respect. Users agree to interact with Quranic content in a manner befitting its sacred nature. Disrespectful use of Quranic content may result in account suspension or termination.

While we strive for accuracy, we recommend users verify critical matters of Islamic knowledge with qualified Islamic scholars.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Bassees app, including its design, code, graphics, branding, and original content, is the intellectual property of the individual developer and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Service without express written permission.

The Quran text and audio recitations are sourced from third-party providers and are subject to their respective licenses and terms.

7. User-Generated Content

If the Service allows you to submit content (such as notes, bookmarks, or feedback), you retain ownership of your content but grant Bassees a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and process that content for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. While we strive for accuracy in all Quranic content, we recommend users verify critical matters with qualified Islamic scholars.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or that any defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bassees and its individual developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bassees and its individual developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Account Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Disrespectful treatment of Quranic content
• Unauthorized access attempts or security violations
• Abusive behavior toward other users or the Service
• Non-payment of any fees (if applicable)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You can request account deletion at any time from the Profile → Delete Account section in the app.

12. Changes to Terms and Service

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the United States.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bassees regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
